”...Hasedera Temple at dusk is a must-go place...”
People in Nara advised me many times.
So, I went last weekend. And, it was in the place full of green and purest air.
Sundown in summer is around 7pm, I got to the temple shortly past five. The long staircase led me up the front stage area of the main structure. From there, all I could see was the sea of green green mountains.
I sat down on that stage waiting for the sundown. And, during the entire two hours, I was the only one except for those monks passing behind me every thirty minutes or so, lighting candles, doing their usual end-of-day routine.
Again, it was hard to believe that I had such a luxurious moment all to myself... Yes, definitely. Hasedera is a must-go place.
